JIM CARPENTER, PhD
Jim Carpenter, PhD, ABPP, is a clinical psychologist (Ohio State University) with many years of experience. He is also a poet and writer, experimental parapsychologist and cognitive theorist (First Sight: ESP and Parapsychology in Everyday Life, Rowman & Littlefield, 2012), and an occasional artist. He marvels at the daring and vulnerability his patients bring into sessions, and is honored to assist them in their struggles and victories. He is also delighted to be in the company of this collection of creative therapists and artists.
DANCERS
(Felt-tip pen on paper, 11" High x 8.5” Wide)
My therapist work-days are littered with left over notes and thoughts and feelings and doodles. Sometimes a doodle, pregnant with lines and faces and angles and animals, will seem promising enough to elaborate and finish. Then it will feel as if I've expressed something about therapy that I don't know how to say in words, like waving a sieve through the smoky air of my mind and catching images and clearing the air.
