The mission of LACPA’s Arts, Creativity, and Culture Committee is to use the arts and other creative productions as a means of self-care, psychological expression, as well as meaningful connection with fellow professionals and the community at large. The arts provide a universal language that illuminates while helping to heal personal traumas and social injustices. The arts are also a tool for presenting and bridging cultural diversity. This committee provides opportunities for clinicians to express themselves creatively as well as share their creative productions with others. The committee will also identify and support creative productions in the community whose mission involves the promotion and improvement of mental health.
