MARIANNE GOLDYN, MSN
I am an Advanced Practice, Psychiatric, Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 30 years of direct clinical experience with underserved, disenfranchised persons suffering with severe and persistent mental illnesses. My professional adventures and lived experience of holding space while walking with and supporting these individuals showed me that I am also a soul catalyst, ancestor tender, storyteller, scribe and artist.
When I close my eyes, I see detailed geometric patterns. This has been the case as far back as I can remember. As an adult, I realized not everyone sees these images and I became curious. Exploring and researching led me to the discovery of Sacred Geometry, the Universal language of rhythm, harmony, beauty, truth, and order. I then realized that what I was seeing were the same images rendered in ancient times by the Sumerians, Mayans, and Essenes. Personally, the images I see connect the seen and unseen worlds, unravel the mysteries and magic of life, and explain the structure of the Universe.
Studying Sacred Geometry led me to the rich, complex, ordered chaos of fractals. That is when my inner artist broke wide open. Doing fractal art led me down other avenues and allowed me to connect with all the beauty and pain I have had the privilege of witnessing during my life.
Today I describe myself as a quantum artist that uses photography, drawing, and digital formats to create intuitive images. I use the word quantum because my images are reflective of the seen and unseen world. I use the word intuitive because I am intuitively creating led by an energy greater than myself. All my art is done while I am in a meditative state, with the intention of love and the highest good for all beings. In this manner, my art is an expression and extension of the divinity within my heart and soul.
Wings in Flight
(Fractal, Digital, Mid-Gloss Metal Print, 15” x 11”)
This piece is a Personal Fractal Mandala or Soul Energy Blueprint, based on a person's unique set of numbers. The basic "fractal" image is computer generated using the Mandlebrot mathematical equation. The piece flourishes and flows as I take artistic license to create a unique, personal piece of art by intuitively adding color, texture and form.
While Fractals by definition are infinitely complex, self similar repeating patterns, "Wings in Flight" is quite simple. It soars ad infinitum to our internal depths while externally spiraling to our collective source joining together at the profound moment that our "Fractal Wings take Flight."
