Santa Rosa Island
(Glaze on Porcelain, 12” x 12”)

Collaboration with Nancy Hazeltine

The form was created by Nancy Hazeltine, a ceramicist based in Los Angeles, CA. The painting, created by Grace, is of a scene from Water Canyon on Santa Rosa Island in Channel Islands National Park. The piece incorporates integration of multiple elements of the artists’ lives: travel to remote places, landscape photography, drawing technique learned in school, watercolor technique learned with friends during the pandemic, and relationship between collaborators.
