LIND BUTLER, MED, LPC
I am an artist, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a “Marriage Friendly” Family Therapist with a private psychotherapy practice in Houston, Texas.
Art has always been a major part of my life. Integrating the expressive arts into my work as a therapist, I have spent the last thirty-eight working with individuals, couples and families.
My art, my personal life experiences and training, combined with my years of clinical work, have deepened my effectiveness as a psychotherapist and as an artist.
Peering Through
(Monoprint and ink drawing)
My art is inspired by the energy of color, light, texture and shape reflected in the world.
Influenced by what I see and experience; my self emerges through the mystery and vulnerability of what I create.
Art grounds and balances me, opening me up so that I can see things from different perspectives. By engaging in my creative process, I find that I can reach into places where there are no words and transcend barriers that have felt unsurmountable. I am a better therapist because of my experiences with art.
