My artwork primarily explores the relationship between identity and environment, and is largely inspired by imagery, stories, and themes I come across in my daily life.

Part meditation on the complexity of relationships, part paying homage to the pioneering American psychologist Abraham Maslow, this piece encapsulates the ways we can unknowingly limit ourselves and stand in our own way. Maslow once said, “I suppose it is tempting, if the only tool you have is a hammer, to treat everything as if it were a nail." Blissful ignorance has an expiration date, we will eventually be faced with tough realities. But it’s never too late to take a long, hard look at ourselves and make the brave decision to change and grow.
