“Nature is not only accessible in wild and remote places, it is a force that’s vividly present in our imagination and our dreams.”
—Karen Harter
Mother nature is my soulmate. She has been the subject of my photography for over 40 years.I am drawn to her beauty and wisdom and inspired by her lessons about life and death. Life is a never-ending cycle and all of life is most certainly interconnected. Mother Nature is not just outside of us in the form of a tree or a flower or a mountain. She lives deep inside all of us.
The Feminine Divine in Nature
(Photograph on Canvas, 36” x 28” x 1”)
Our world is crying out for her wisdom as we are living in a time of human conflict and disconnection, climate change and infectious disease. Now more than ever we must reclaim our deep sense of how the natural world lives within us and use her as an informant about how to conduct our lives. Mother Nature is waiting for us to come home.My nature photography is one attempt to take us there.
“The Feminine Divine in Nature” asks that you gaze into her depths and reflect upon what you see. What calls out to you?
