ROBIN WALKER
What I Did During COVID:
Painting My Way Through The Pandemic and Becoming A Better Person
Robin Walker has been an artist for as long as he’s been a psychotherapist, now approaching 40 years. The COVID pandemic strained him, just like the rest of us, and he met the challenge with expressive art.
Robin’s artwork can be classified as “neo expressionist abstract figurative” for those of you who like that sort of thing. What it means is that Robin likes to paint what things seem like, instead of what they look like. A photorealist he is not! In this Spotlight Talk, Robin will discuss his use of painting to stay sane during the pandemic. He will share lessons learned about himself, his work, and his relationship with family.
Robin’s psychotherapy office is also a painting studio (or is it the other way ‘round) and from this space, he will show numerous examples of his artwork, and will describe his reasons for painting, his technique, and the blending of art and therapy:
Authenticity
Getting Lost
Artistic Courage
Trust
Join us for an entertaining and insightful talk about resilience, painting and the nature of our work.
