MARIO MULLER
Aesthetic Arrest
Honing the ability to articulate moments of awe, charm and insight. Beauty is restorative. To quote George Clinton, “It not only moves, It can remove!” The power of Aesthetic Arrest is two fold.
It conditions an internal aesthetic Muscle with which we can better see, appreciate and spot epiphanies around us. And, just as important, it allows us to share and thereby magnify these epiphanies.
About The Speaker:
With four decades as an Artist, Curator, Dealer and Author, Mario M. Muller can confidently wear the moniker of polymath, unapologetically. And yet he prides himself with an unabashed enthusiasm of a Virgin art lover. He’s been the recipient of several site specific public art commissions including: Standiford Field International Airport Authority, New York City Arts for Transit, and the Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts. His work is held in Fortune 500 companies and international private collections. He’s authored over 100 articles of Film and Art criticism and mounted 24 solo exhibitions of his high contrast India Ink Paintings.
For the last seven years Mr. Muller has served as Artist in Residence for the Stephen Wise Temple and Wise School bringing art to the diverse reform synagogue’s congregation.
While the isolation of Covid left many flummoxed, four months into the epidemic, Muller founded a Contemporary Fine Art Salon broadcast on Zoom. He christened it Aesthetic Arrest. The salon has blossomed into a lively gathering of culturally curious, visually insatiable art Lovers. Muller’s weekly presentations are attended by a growing community from Hawaii to New York; from Los Angeles to London; and from Panama to Israel. Aesthetic Arrest just celebrated its 155 episode in a little less than 4 years and it shows no sign of stopping.
He lives and works in Los Angeles with his wife and teenage son.
