Dr. E works primarily with acrylics, painting his interpretation of the psychotherapist-as-self as it intersects this strange human condition. Drawing from his understanding of the Unconscious, as influenced by Freudian & Winnicottian Psychoanalysis, Surrealism, and Dadaism, Dr. E is self-taught in color theory and color mixing. As such, Dr. E strives to develop his technical skill in the pursuit of Hyperrealism but has radically accepted producing Impressionism in the meantime.
