MARIANNE GOLDYN, MSN, PMH-CNS
Marianne Goldyn is an independently licensed Clinical Nurse Specialist. For over 30 years she has witnessed, walked with and held the trauma stories of many people from diverse communities.
In her early life she dabbled in many artist endeavors, ultimately keeping them under wraps until she came out as an artist in 2021.
“When I close my eyes, I see detailed geometric patterns. This has been the case as far back as I can remember. As an adult, I realized not everyone sees these images and I became curious. Exploring and researching led me to the discovery of Sacred Geometry, the Universal language of rhythm, harmony, beauty, truth, and order. I then realized that what I was seeing were the same images rendered in ancient times by the Sumerians, Mayans, and Essenes. Personally, the images I see connect the seen and unseen worlds, unravel the mysteries and magic of life, and explain the structure of the Universe.”
“Studying Sacred Geometry led me to the rich, complex, ordered chaos of fractals. That is when my inner artist broke wide open. Doing fractal art led me down other avenues and allowed me to connect with all the beauty and pain I have had the privilege of witnessing during my life.”
Today Marianne describes herself as a quantum artist that uses Sacred Geometry, Fractals, photography, painting, drawing, and digital formats to create intuitive images. Quantum because her images are reflective of the seen and unseen world … Intuitive because she is intuitively creating, led by an energy greater than herself. All of Marianne’s art is done, with the intention of love and the highest good for all beings. In this manner, her art is an expression and extension of the divinity within all of us.

(Canvas available in other sizes, Photography, Sketching, Digital Art, 30" High x 40" Wide)
I hold a professional license as an Advanced Practice, Psychiatric Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 30 years of direct clinical experience working with underserved, disenfranchised persons suffering with severe and persistent mental illnesses. My professional adventures and lived experience of holding space while walking with and supporting these individuals showed me that I am also a soul catalyst, ancestor tender, storyteller, scribe and artist.
All of my art represents the energy of my soul; the integration of my mind, heart and spirit illuminated. Every trauma story that I heard and every trauma victim I journeyed with that has healed and transformed their pain into love is represented in my art. My art embodies living, breathing emotions of transformation from a deep soul level.
The Messenger Ancestor was the first in my Ancestors in Art series. She appeared to me in the sand as I was walking on the Pacific coast. I began seeing images surrounding rocks, shells and other marine life left behind as the ocean receded. At the same time I had images of different folks I worked with and their stories floating in my mind. I started photographing these images and when I later returned to the photos I was led on an artistic adventure of creating the Ancestors alive with their own names and stories.
As a clinician, the eventual secondary effects of providing therapy and holding others' trauma stories allowed me to explore my own healing and balance through the use of my imagination in art. The Messenger Ancestor was the first to emerge and guide me to create a container through art that allows me to respect and honor the resilience, persistence and triumph of those I have had the privilege of serving.
The Messenger Ancestor is both a personal piece and a piece that is full of the collective stories of others' struggles within society to find a sense of belonging in spite of or in addition to the diagnostic labels attributed to them. Beyond the ancestral blood line that we belong to, we also belong to the Ancestors of the land, nature, tradition, culture and the unseen. The Messenger Ancestor reminds me that we all belong; we are all One and others stories of the triumph from trauma to living authentically is a triumph for all of us.
